Choral Works
By far the most recommended work is the Mass in B Minor, and Gardiner's
recording is simply the best available. It is a full-priced CD set, but definitely
worth owning. If you want a lower priced alternative, the Naxos CD
with Brembeck conducting is a good recording to try.
For something a little different, The St. John's Passion is recorded
by Britten, and translated into English text from the German in this
recording from 1971.
