Aaron Copland is one of the most famous American composers of our time. His works include Appalachian Spring, ballets suites from Rodeo and Billy the Kid, and the wonderful Fanfare for the Common Man. You have heard his music in many forms, most recently in the 'Beef, where it's at' commercial. All of these works are performed by Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic. You will not find a better selection or performance of these works anywhere, and this is part of my Essential CD Collection.
