the Chicago Symphony Orchestra have a wonderful recording of two 'Rome'
works that has stood the test of time. Recorded around 1960, it is a benchmark
that other performances are judged. The CD has been digitally remastered,
and the sound is wonderful, making it a bit hard to believe that the recording
is over 40 years old!
