Composers List by Musical Era

Composers are generally grouped together into Eras, mainly Baroque 1600-1750, Classical 1750-1820, Romantic 1820-1900 and Modern 1900-present. These are general categories, and tend to relate not only to when the composers important works were written, but also the style. Some composers works bridge the Eras, so use the categories simply as a outline, and a way to find composers with similar styles.

Note: Only names in BOLD currently have a BasicRep.com page, but more info is in the works and will be added soon.
